I was drawn to Poe and her kinky innocence and I believe she is written that way for a purpose. ALiT weaves love, religion, and secrets that go back generations in a way that this story invades your soul. The entire premise of the book is intriguing and the characters are entrancing. A Lesson in Thorns is one of the most beautiful books I have ever read.
